PURPOSE OF GOVERNMENT

Defense: One of the five purposes of government is to defend the borders of the nation against foreign invasions.National Identity: Each and every nation is unique in its own way. Each nation has its own tradition and culture. It is said for a nation to exist, it must have an identity.Representation: A government represents the interest of the nation.Infrastructure: One of the main purposes of the government is to provide good infrastructure such as roads, bridges, drinking water, and electricity and communication networks.Social Welfare: Last but not the least, introducing social welfare programs to protect the interest of the minorities and also, to provide education and health care to the underprivileged class of the economy is one of the purposes of the government. 2. Yes. It is our government's job to fulfill these duties, so if they're not then we as a country have every right to demand that they do.
